Lace Toppers

Lace toppers are partial hairpieces designed specifically for covering thinning areas on the crown and top of your head, unlike wigs which cover your entire head. They feature ultra-realistic lace bases that sit flush against your scalp, creating an undetectable hairline and natural-looking part.

Lace toppers integrate with your existing hair, making them ideal if you're experiencing early to moderate thinning but still have hair you'd like to keep visible. They're also more breathable and lightweight than full wigs, offering greater comfort during all-day wear in various weather conditions.

Start by measuring the area of thinning to determine the appropriate base size—your topper should fully cover this area without extending too far beyond it. Consider the base type: Swiss lace offers incredible sheerness for the most natural look, while French lace provides slightly more durability.

For the most seamless blend, choose 100% Remy human hair that matches your natural color, texture and density. If you're between shades, opt for a slightly lighter tone as it's easier to darken if needed. Remember that your topper should be a few inches longer than your bio hair to allow for proper blending and styling flexibility.

Our lace toppers feature small, pressure-sensitive clips that gently secure to your existing hair without causing damage. For application, part your hair where you'll place the topper, position it correctly along your hairline, then snap the front clips down first, followed by the sides and back.

For very fine hair, we recommend using a small amount of volumizing powder at the roots before attaching the clips to create more grip. All Goldylost toppers are designed for secure, glueless wear, eliminating the need for messy adhesives. With proper placement, your topper will stay comfortably in place all day whilst moving naturally with your own hair.

Wash your lace topper after 8-10 wears using sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner specifically formulated for human hair extensions. Always wash in cool water with downward strokes, never rubbing or twisting. Apply conditioner primarily to the mid-lengths and ends, avoiding the lace base. Allow to air dry on a wig stand away from direct heat and sunlight.

When styling, use heat protectant and keep tools on low to medium settings. Store your topper on a mannequin head or in its box when not in use. With proper care, your Goldylost lace topper will maintain its beautiful appearance and natural movement for 6-12 months of regular wear.
