Cap Construction: The Silk Top gives this topper its very natural part, the silk mimics a human scalp. 100% hand tied and multi directional so you can comfortably part the hair anywhere on the top (Yes, you can do a side part!). It has stretchy wefts at the back to comfortably mould over your head and seamlessly blend with your own hair. 6 pressure sensitive clips for extra security, without pulling your own hair, and a flat comb at the front. Toppers clip on to the top of your existing hair adding more hair, or covering thinning areas. They only offer partial coverage so it’s important for it to blend into your hair to look natural and will need to be a similar colour.
GoldyLost Hair sells two types of topper cap construction – Silk Top and Lace Top.
Silk toppers are hand-tied silk top caps with wefted back. The silk top gives the appearance of a realistic scalp and the wefts mould to the shape of your head.
Lace toppers are made of a thin light weight mesh material the same as the lace on wigs. The scalp is not as realistic as a silk top, but they are more lightweight, and do not require blending at the hairline.
Your topper should be a similar colour to your existing hair at the root, and a similar length. You can have a topper a few inches longer than your existing hair.
All our toppers are made with the highest quality human hair with pressure sensitive clips to ensure minimal damage to your existing hair.

This can depend on the reason for wanting to wear a hair piece. A wig offers full coverage and can be worn by anyone, whether you have a full head of hair, or no hair at all. With a wig you can choose any colour, length or style you like. A topper is a hair extension for the top of your head, designed to blend with your existing hair, so you will need some of your own hair for the topper to clip on to.
Just like hair growing from someone’s head, the colour of human hair wigs and toppers will look different in different lighting. It may look warmer indoors, brassier under florescent lighting and ashier in direct sunlight. The colour may also be affected by your computer or phone screen. At GoldyLost Hair we try to show the pieces in different lighting, as well as on a person vs a mannequin, so you can get a good idea of how the piece truly looks, but there can always be slight colour variances.
Any return made due to colour choice will still incur restock fees.
